The waterfall on the mountain

This waterfall marks the halfway point on the hike up to Middle Fork Lake, outside of Red River, NM.  It is a great spot to rest and relax during the tiring march up the mountain.  There used to be a wooden footbridge across the water, but it apparently washed away or something, so now you are left with two choices:  try your luck on the various logs, or just decide you are gonna get wet and march through it.  I took the logs since I was camera-laden.  The nice thing about a tripod is that it makes a great walking stick when you need the help!  I stood across a few logs, set up the tripod in the stream, and snapped away.  I stayed dry, though my mom slipped and landed on her bum.  Oops!
