A beautiful west Austin sunset

If you happen to follow my Facebook page, then you saw that last Friday night I went out to shoot sunset at the Loop 360 Bridge here in Austin (I shared an iPhone pic there - I was so excited!).  I could see some interesting clouds from the house, and as the light started to fade I decided to roll the dice and make the quick drive here just in case a beautiful sunset materialized.  Well, it sure did, and I am glad I went!

When I arrived, I was in a big hurry so I scampered up the hill to this viewpoint, all the while keeping my fingers crossed for great light.  It only took a couple of minutes and things started to get really interesting.  I stayed for about an hour and have a lot of photos from this beautiful evening.  This definitely ranks as one of the best sunsets I have ever seen.  So take my advice and if you think there is a chance for great light, grab the camera and go!
