Above Dresden

Dresden is a beautiful town in Germany, and I was lucky to get to spend about half a day there recently.  Germany is one of my favorite countries, though my travels rarely take me there.  I just love the architecture, the history, and...the beer. Yep, German beers are tasty!

Prior to going, I made a list of spots I wanted to see, and the Frauenkirche was at the top of that list.  It's a gorgeous cathedral, and I previously shared a photo of the altar.

But what I did not expect was that I could also take a tour to the top of the church, and get a commanding view of the town.  Although the first half was via elevator, it requires a bit of walking too (and one set of REALLY steep stairs).  But it's all worth it when you step out and get to enjoy the view.
