Darkness falls on the Champs Elysees
There are just SO many things to shoot when in Paris...the town is a visual feast. I just compiled my list of Top Photo Spots in Paris - you can find it by clicking here, or by using the navigation on the top of the blog.
It was getting late one evening in Paris, and I had just finished firing a bunch of shots at the Arc de Triomphe during sunset and blue hour. It was a great night, but I wasn’t finished.
I have seen this shot done many, many times and while I realize this isn’t original, I wanted to get one of my own. So, I walked out into the street and positioned myself just right to catch the passing cars. There is a LOT of traffic on the Champs Elysees, so you don’t have to wait long to get what you need.
This is not HDR, it’s a single long exposure (5 seconds at f/22). Although I sometimes fire brackets at night, more often than not I just go with a single long exposure...although it depends on what I am shooting. In this case, a single exposure was exactly what I wanted.
